About Sheikh Sudais:

Shaikh Abdul Rahman Abdul Aziz As-Sudais is the Imam of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. He serves as the president of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques and is renowned as a qāriʾ (reciter of the Qur'an). Al-Sudais, born on February 10, 1960, in Riyadh, holds a Ph.D. He was honored as the "Islamic Personality Of the Year" at the Dubai International Holy Qur'an Award in 2005. Al-Sudais advocates for peaceful inter-faith dialogue and emphasizes values such as modesty, fairness, security, stability, sympathy, harmony, and kindness within Islam.

Raised in Riyadh, Al-Sudais received his education at various institutions and universities, including Riyadh University and Umm al-Qura University. He has been serving as an imam from a young age and has partnered with Sheikh Saud Al-Shuraim for Taraweeh Prayers. Appointed as head of the Presidency for the Two Holy Mosques by royal decree in 2012, he continues to contribute significantly to Islamic education and discourse.
